Biography

Aaron Gibbs was born 1 June 1794 in Benson, Rutland County, Vermont, United States to Darius Gibbs (1759-1811) and Sybil Powers (1761-1828) and died 10 December 1829 Benson, Rutland County, Vermont, United States of unspecified causes. He married Prudence Carter (1796-1841) 31 December 1816 in Benson, Rutland County, Vermont.

In 1831 Vermont, many members of Aaron's family were baptized into the newly formed The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by his wife's brother, Jared Carter (1801-1849), who was a noteworthy early missionary.
