Abigail Stevens Young was born 27 May 1870 in Holden, Millard County, Utah to Walter Stevens (1830-1914) and Abigail Elizabeth Holman (1836-1912) and died 6 December 1954 Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah of unspecified causes. She married Brigham Young (1836-1903) 1 October 1887 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.


Marriage & Family

Young's wife Abigail Stevens (1870-1954) was one of younger wives of LDS Apostle Brigham Young, Jr. She was 17 and he was 51.

Their daughter Klara Young Cheney, born in Fruitland, New Mexico, in 1894, turned 100 years old in 1994. Abigail and Brigham Jr.'s last daughter, Marian Young, was also born at Fruitland on January 25, 1899. She died on November 22, 2004, less than two months short of her 106th birthday. She was the last grandchild of Mormon leader, Brigham Young (1801-1877) to die.
