Ada Amelia Elvins was born 18 September 1871 in Carcoar, New South Wales, Australia to James Elvins (1849-1930) and Isabella Dalton (1850-1927) and died 18 December 1948 Crookwell District Hospital, Crookwell, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. She married Francis Thomas McGuirk (1865-1942) 12 July 1897 in Crookwell, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
Another old and respected resident passed away in the District Hospital on December 18 in the person of Mrs. Ada McGuirk.
The late Mrs. McGuirk was predeceased by her husband six. years ago.
She is survived by one son, Hughie, of Crookwell, and six daughters—Mrs. T. Burgess (Tario Gap), Mrs. M. Webster (Crookwell), Mrs. J. Bensley (Roslyn), Mrs. C. Webster (Bungendore), Mrs. G. Rolls (Alpha, Q.), Mrs. C. White (Bungendore).
Mr. M. Elvlns, of Binda, is the only surviving brother, while Mrs. Ern. Cramp, of Goulburn, and Mrs. Sarah Hudd, of Bargo, are surviving sisters.
