Obituary
A prominent member of the Methodist Church, and a former Maitland business man, Mr. Albert Augustus Mannall, died at his home in Hunter-street. West Maitland, on Sunday night.
Born at East Maitland 80 years ago, Mr. Mannall had been associated for most of his life with Methodist activities in the Maitland district. He had held almost every office open to a layman at West Maitland Methodist Church. For about 40 years he was Superintendent of the Sunday-school, and he took a leading part in the move for the construction of the Memorial Hall in Charles-street.
He was senior circuit steward for 13 years, and was a trustee for the rectory as well as the memorial hall.
For many years, until his retirement some years ago, Mr. Mannull was a partner of the firm of Mannall Brothers, which condullcted a grocery business in High-street, West Maitland.
Mr. Mannall married Emma Harriet Brackley. They celebrated their golden wedding about six years ago. For some years his health had been indifferent. He is survived by his wife. two sons, Messrs. Eric Mannall (Auckland) and Richard Mannall (West Wallsend), and three daughters, Mesdames V. M. Dibley (Eastwood), J. H. Newman (Wentworthville), and R. J. Everson (Manly).
The funeral will leave West Maitland Methodist Church this afternoon.
