Biography
Alexander George Boteville Thynne was born 17 February 1873 to John Alexander Thynne, 4th Marquess of Bath (1831-1896) and Frances Isabella Catherine Vesey (1840-1915) and died 16 September 1918 Béthune, France of killed in action.
During the First World War he was twice wounded in the Battle of the Somme in 1916 and awarded the Distinguished Service Order and the Croix de Guerre. He was killed in action in France on 14 September 1918, aged 45, and was buried at Béthune Town Cemetery. He never married.
