Alexander II Dunkeld of Scotland, King of Scotland, was born 24 August 1198 to William I of Scotland (c1142-1214) and Ermengarde de Beaumont-au-Maine (c1170-1233) and died 8 July 1249 of unspecified causes. He married Joan of England (1210-1238) 21 June 1221 JL in York Minster. He married Marie de Coucy (c1218-1285) 15 May 1239 JL in Roxburgh.
