The community received a rude shock on Tuesday when word was received from Condobolin of the death there of Mr. Alec Goodsell. On his last visit to Grenfell, the late Mr. Goodsell looked the picture of health, and his sudden demise, after an operation, has caused profound sorrow, deceased being very popular with all: a man of fine temperament and sterling character — one whose passing will be a great loss. A native of the district. 'Alec,' with his brother Mr. Steve Goodsell, followed in the footsteps of his late respected father, made good, and continued to do so at Condobolin, in which district he recently settled down, and where he was as well respected as he had been at Grenfell. The funeral was yesterday afternoon, and among others present from Grenfell and district, were a number of members of Lodge St. Andrew, who took part in the Masonic service. To the widow and children, the mother and other members of the family we extend our very sincere sympathy. At St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Sunday week, at the evening service, a memorial service will be conducted by Rev. J. Richardson.
