Alexander Skene of Dyce was born 1 April 1630 to Gilbert Skene of Dyce (c1600-1665) and Marjorie Buchan of Auchmacoy (c1600-) and died 4 January 1704 of unspecified causes. He married Ann Johnston (1636-1688) November 1652 .
The arms of "Alexander Skene of Dyce, lineallie and lawfullie of the familie of Skene of that Ilk," are thus given in the Lyon Register: "Gules three skenes argent pomelled and surmounted of alse many woolf's heads couped or, within a bordur ingrailled of the second." Crest: "A garb proper." Motto: "Assiduitate."
