Alexander Strang Fleming was born 1 March 1867 in Jamberoo, New South Wales, Australia to James Fleming (c1841-1911) and Elizabeth Ann Strang (1839-1906) and died 5 January 1952 Lismore, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. He married Alice Mary Marlan (1884-1964) 21 June 1904 in St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Lismore, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
The death occurred in Lismore on Saturday morning of Mr. Alexander Strang Fleming, aged 84 years, of 42 Diadem Street, Lismore, a former well known resident of Clunes. Mr. Fleming had lived in retirement in Lismore for over 30 years. He was born at Jamberoo and came to the North Coast over 60 years ago. He resided for a time at Mullumbimby. He was for a number of years a member of the Loyal Orange Lodge at Clunes. Mr. Fleming is survived by a widow, four sons and six daughters. The sons are Messrs. Wilson (Grafton), Robert, William and Jack Fleming (all of Lismore) and the daughters are Mesdames J. C. Parmenter, D. Maher and J. King (Lismore), R Plater (Barraba), J. W. Wallace (Wingham), and F. Ritani (New Guinea). His funeral will leave St. John's Presbyterian Church Clunes, today after a service commencing at 11 a.m., for the Clunes cemetery.
