Alexios II Komnenos, Byzantine Emperor, was born 10 September 1169 in Istanbul, Turkey to Manuel I Komnenos (1118-1180) and Maria of Antioch (1145-1182) and died 24 September 1183 Istanbul, Turkey of strangulation. He married Agnes Capet (1171-1240) 2 March 1180 JL in Istanbul, Turkey.
