‡ General
  • Alice Maria Apps was born on 15 February 1856 to William Apps (c1812- 1886) and Maria Blundell (nee Bruckner 1814- 1882) of Razorback. In 1878, Alice married James “Jim” Boardman, a farmer and orchardist, and together they had nine children. When Alice married Jim it would have been when Jim was living with his brother John (1835 - 1929) and his wife Anne (1831-1908) at “Daisy Vale Farm” Razorback. In 1896 Jim Boardman took his family to Canowindra where his brother Ernest lived at “Bangaroo Station” wheat farming and remained there for a dozen years before returning to Cawdor. In 1908, Jim purchased a property and involved himself with the Cawdor Methodist Church where he became a Sunday school Superintendent. Alice died at their residence on 6 December 1912 after a long illness and was buried at Cawdor.
