Mrs. Amelia Elvins

The death, occurred at her residence at Blanket Flat on Wednesday last, April 22nd, of Mrs. Amelia Elvins, wife of Mr. Samuel Elvins, at the age of 69 years.

The deceased was a lifelong resident of the Blanket Flat district and was held in the highest esteem and respect by all who knew her.

Of recent years her health had not been good, but up until a few years ago she was a keen and sincere-worker for the cause of her church in the Bigga and Blanket Flat districts.

Deceased was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Howard and was born in the Bigga district in 1873.

In 1894 she married Mr. Samuel Elvins and resided continuously at Blanket Flat up till the time of her death.

The late Mrs. Elvins is mourned by her husband and a family of seven children—Sylvia (Bigga), Dick (Blanket Flat), Edie (Mrs. Cramp, of Woolahra), Ruby (Mrs. P. Porter, Bigga), Kate (Mrs. G. Howard, of Blanket Flat), Colin (Blanket Flat) and Freda (Blanket Flat).

The funeral took place on Thursday last, the remains being laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the Bigga cemetery, following a service in All Saints' Church, Bigga. Rev. G. A. M. Nell, of Binda, officiated both at the service and at the graveside.
