Andrew Bogle Paterson was born circa 1833 in Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom to John Paterson (1783-1850) and Ann Howison (1793-1838) and died 7 June 1889 "Illalong", Binalong, New South Wales, Australia of disease of the heart. He married Rose Isabella Barton (1844-1893) 1863 in Molong, New South Wales, Australia.
He arrived in New South Wales in about 1850.
