Obituary

The death took place at his late residence, Farm 501, Stony Point, Leeton, of Mr. Andrew Eaton, on Tuesday last, aged 73 years. The suddenness of his passing gave his many friends in the district a severe shock, for on Monday last, while in Leeton, he appeared hale and hearty and conversed with a number of business people. Even in his own household he retired apparently well, and it wasn't till 4 a.m. that he complained of not feeling well. Mr. Eaton was a well known identity in Leeton being the contractor who built the Hydro for the Public Works Department. This work was commenced in 1917 and after it was completed the Hydro was run by the W. C. and I.C. as a hostelry, for some time without a liqour bar.
