Andrew Jackson Kimball was born 3 January 1829 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States to Hezekiah Kimball (1790-1855) and Eliza H Goodwin (1799-1883) and died 14 January 1909 Hawksview Estate, Albury, New South Wales, Australia of heart failure. He married Ann Flanagan (c1832) 27 December 1859 in Adelong, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
Mr Andrew Jackson Kimball, died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Breadmore, at Hawksview on Thursday evening from heart failure at the advanced age of 80 years. Mr Kimball was the eldest son of Captain Ezekiel Kimball of Boston, U.S.A., and arrived in Australia in the vessel Pactolus in '49. He was therefore a resident of 50 years' standing. He attained his eightieth birthday on January 3, 1909, but did not long survive it. For a number of years the late Mr. Kimball followed mining and sawmilling pursuits on Adelong and elsewhere, but eleven years ago came to Albury. Deceased leaves a family consisting of Mrs. Breadmore, of Hawksview Estate (with whom deceased had resided of late years), and Mrs George Richardson, of Bungowannah, Messrs. Charles (Wodonga), Gordon (Deniliquin), John (Thirdoona), and Tracy (Hawkesview). The funeral will leave Hawkesview Station at 10 a.m. today for the Albury Cemetery, Messrs, Trappold and Lester will conduct arrangements.
