He married Annie May Eldridge (1885-1956) 1907 in Nyngan, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
After a long illness in the Dubbo District Hospital, Arthur Watson, aged 58, died on Saturday morning. Deceased was a resident of Tottenham for over 30 years. He was born at Wonbobbie. A widow, one son (Elwin, 15) and a brother, Mr. Frank Watson, of Darling Street, Dubbo, survive. The funeral took place at noon on Sunday, the cortege leaving Shakespeare's funeral parlors, in Talbragar Street for the Church of England section of Dubbo Cemetery. The Rev. C. W. Leavers conducted the obsequies. C. J. Shakespeare and Sons carried out the funeral.
