Asa Works was born 25 August 1762 in Leicester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States to Samuel Works (1731-1786) and Mary Polly Smith (1724-1780) and died 15 February 1845 Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois, United States of unspecified causes. He married Abigail Marks (1781-1846) 1803 .
Marriage and Family
The family of Asa and Abigail Works joined the LDS Church in the early 1830s and followed their move west to Nauvoo, Illinois where they died. Several of their children married prominent members of the church and followed the saints trek west to Utah.
