Stephen Doty's will makes separate bequests to his grand-daughter Viola Doty daughter of Barbary Ann Proctor, and to Barbary Ann Proctor herself. The will does not mention Barbary Ann Proctor's other child, Olive L. Proctor, who was about six years old at the time Stephen signed his will. In no other case does the will make a bequest to a grandchild whose parents were living at the time the will was signed. Thus the father of Viola Doty is uncertain.
