Beclean (German: Betlen, Bethlensdorf, Bethlen, Hungarian: Bethlen) is a town in Bistriţa-Năsăud County, in north-eastern Transylvania, Romania. It has an estimated population in 2006 of 10,889 and administers three villages: Coldău, Figa and Rusu de Jos.

The town is the site of an important railway junction (the station is called Beclean pe Someș), where secondary routes to Sighetu Marmației and Suceava diverge from the main railway line from Brașov to Satu Mare.

Beclean is also the place of origin of the ancient Hungarian Bethlen family.
