Belyuk or Begliuk or Biluk - Polovtsian Khan from the Transdniestrian Polovtsian tribe of the Burj-oglu family.
Biography
Belyuk belonged to the burj-oglu family. There are no information about his parents. The first mention of Belyuk dates back to 1162. At the same time, in 1163, he made an alliance with Ryurik Rostislavich, the future Grand Prince of Kiev. In the same year, his daughter married Ryurik Rostislavich.
In 1166 Yaroslav Vsevolodovicattacked Belyuk's nomads. In this campaign, Yaroslav captured Belyuk's wife and children. In response, Belyuk participated, along with other Polovtsianskhans, in blocking trade routes.
In 1166, he probably participated in the battle with the Rus' princes Rostislav Mstislavich, the Grand Prince of Kiev, Mstislav Izyaslavich, Yaroslav Izyaslavich, Yaropolk Izyaslavich, Vladimir Andreyevich, Vladimir Mstislavich, Gleb Yuryevich, Ryurik Rostislavich, Davyd Rostislavich, Mstislav Rostislavich. The Polovtsians were defeated. Perhaps Belyuk died, or died somewhat later.
