Funeral
Funeral of the late Alderman Moore.—The funeral of the late Mr. Benjamin Robert Moore, who for 15 years occupied the position of alderman in the Leichhardt Council, and who on four occasions filled the office of Mayor of that municipality, took place yesterday from his late residence, Moordale, Norton-street. Amongst those who attended were Mr. John Hawthorne, M.L.A., ex-Alderman Taylor, Alderman G. P. Baines (Petersham), ex-Alderman N. C. Neal, Alderman Westbrook, Messrs. A. R. Yeend, W. Rapp, A. Trowbridge, Butler Wood, and P. Newland. The chief mourners were the deceased's sons (Messrs. E. and O. Moore), his sons-in-law (Messrs. B. and F. Hearn), and his brother (Mr. J. B. Moore). The interment took place in the Church of England cemetery, Rookwood, the funeral services being conducted by the Rev. Thomas Holme. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Coffill and Co.
