Benjamin Winthrop was born 17 September 1762 in New London, New London County, Connecticut, United States to John Still Winthrop (1720-1776) and Elizabeth Shireffe (c1724-1793) and died 9 January 1844 Manhattan, New York, United States of unspecified causes. He married Judith Stuyvesant (1765-1844) 19 June 1785 .
