Biography
Berkeley Drummond was born 27 May 1796 to Charles Drummond (1759-1823) and Frances Dorothy Lockwood (c1760-1831) and died 3 May 1860 of unspecified causes. He married Maria Crosbie (-1872) 5 April 1832 .
Appointments.—The following appointments have recently taken place : [ ...] Lieutenant Colonel Berkeley Drummond, of the Scots Fusilier Guards, has been selected as the successor in the office of Groom in Waiting to her Majesty, of General Sir William Lumley, G.C.B. who has resigned. Sir W. Lumley, had been for many years in the Royal Household.
Colonel Berkeley Drummond, of the Scots' Fusileer Guards, one of the Grooms in Waiting to her Majesty, was on duty at Windsor Castle at the time of the attempted assassination of his brother, the Private Secretary of Sir Robert Peel, on Friday evening, by D. M'Naughten, a Scotchman.
