Warenne Family Ancestry[]

Almost all American Bigelows can trace their ancestry to early Plymouth Colony settler, John Bigelow (1617-1703) and his wife, Mary Warren (1624-1691). She is a direct descendant of William de Warenne (1055-1088), a faithful companion of William the Conqueror and one of the most powerful individuals in England after the historic Norman conquest.
