Caleb Johnson Burton was born 5 August 1880 in Bountiful, Davis County, Utah, United States to George Burton (1837-1891) and Mary Ann Johnson (1845-1898) and died 13 July 1943 Brigham City, Box Elder County, Utah, United States of unspecified causes. He married Agnes Amelia Ransom (1886-1969) 10 October 1902 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah, United States.

Sterrett, 15 Jun 1908; Farmer and laborer, height 5'9", Blue eyes, black hair; Caleb's baptism was confirmed by David Cook 26 May 1889, and his schooling commenced at Bountiful, UT; Caleb was a Home Missionary, Bannock Stake, ID, set apart in Jan. 1914; Ward Teacher for many years in the Cleveland Ward, Bannock Stake, ID; When new Wilson Ward was created (1915), Caleb was sustained as 2nd Assistant in Sunday School; He was President of the Religion Class until that organization was disolved; Line of Priesthood Authority: Caleb J. Burton, James E. Talmadge, Joseph F. Smith, Heber C. Kimball, Martin Harris, Joseph Smith; Peter, James, & John, Jesus Christ. At the time of his death, Caleb was living at 102 East Sixth South, Brigham City, Utah. He died at his home Tuesday evening at 9:45 o'clock, following two and one-half months' illness.
