Carlos I Fernando Luís Maria Víctor Miguel Rafael Gabriel Gonzaga Xavier Francisco de Assis José Simão the Diplomat, the Martyr Wettin Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha-Braganza of Portugal, King of Portugal, King of the Algarves, was born 28 September 1863 in Lisbon, Portugal to Luís I of Portugal (1838-1889) and Maria Pia di Savoia (1847-1911) and died 1 February 1908 Lisbon, Portugal of assassination. He married Amélie of Orléans (1865-1951) 1886 .
