Per Wikipedia policy on Biographies of Living Persons (WP:BLP)... "Wikipedia articles can affect real people's lives. This gives us an ethical and legal responsibility." Do not list a person as having converted from a particular religion (example: Christianity or any other sect) unless there are references in their article to their former religious affiliation with citation backing it up. |
Includes people who have converted from Protestantism, Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Oriental Orthodoxy or any Christian group, to Islam. For more information see, List of converts to Islam. People who identified as being Christian without being formally affiliated with a Christian group can be included in this group. However, as said above, articles should not be put in this category unless the person is clearly identified as having been a Christian of some type in the article. If the article merely says the person is a convert to Islam without stating what their previous religious background was, put them in the parent category Converts to Islam.
