Each category for "Families of" a place should generally be a subcategory of the "Resided in" category for the place. At the county or equivalent level, comprehensive category pages for "Families of" can be quickly created using Template:f-uk and Template:f-us, adapted if necessary for other countries.
However, "families" categories should NOT be included in surname categories because that distorts some of our statistical reports.
