The Netherlands was ruled by the House of Burgundy from 1384 to 1477. Between 1477 and 1581, the House of Habsburg ruled (and maintained this claim till 1648). Since 1581 (or 1568), the House of Orange-Nassau ruled. The three houses ruled under a range of titles.
