Organized events

Organized events are meetings, protests, parties, etc., organized by a group of people for a particular purpose. They may be one-time, occasional or sporadic, or recurring/periodic.

They are distinguished from, for instance, events in nature (astronomical events, geological events) and events that are spontaneous and not planned or organized (e.g., unplanned riots, spontaneous gatherings).
