Catherine Ann Oakenden was born 17 April 1840 in "Springfield", Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia to Joseph Ockenden (1802-1847) and Mary Whelan (1814-1889) and died 6 June 1918 Bourke street, Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. She married Charles Henry Roberts (1836-1916) 3 May 1859 in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary

MRS. C. H. ROBERTS.

Mrs. Roberts, widow ot the late Mr. C.H. Roberts, died at her late residence, Bourke street, Goulburn, this (Thursday). morning after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Roberts, who was in her 79th year, was a native of the Goulburn district. Her husband predeceased her about twelve months ago at his residence, "Holme," Faithfull street, Goulburn. Mrs. Roberts is survived by a numerous family. One daughter, Mrs. Alick Henderson, of Buburba, predeceased her. The surviving sons and daughters are:—Mr. Joseph Roberts, Braidwood; Mrs. Hindmarsh, Strathfield; Mrs. W. Oliver, Mrs. Geo. Rogers, and Mr. Chas. Roberts, Goulburn; Mr. R. E. Roberts, Mayfield; and Mesdames Gorman, Baxter, Finch, and F. L. King, Sydniey, the Iast mentioned recently residing at Inverell. The deceased lady was one of the worthy pioneers of the district, and of the type which has helped to make Australia what it is. With her late husband she was greatly esteemed by a large circle of friends.
