Obituary
MISS Catherine Elizabeth Blackman, of "Inverness," Mudgee, died in a local private hospital yesterday morning at the age of 78.
She took ill suddenly on Sunday, up till which time she had been in the best of health.
Born at Bathurst, the late Miss Blackman was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Blackman, of Cooyal, and had lived in the Mudgee district practically all her life. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Kerr, of Strathfield, Sydney, and four brothers, Edgar (Mudgee), Herbert (Sydney), Richard (Cassilis), and Alfred (Queensland).
The funeral took place this morning at the Mudgee cemetery, after a service at the Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. P. Curtis. The interment was in the hands of Mr. H. Barton.
