Charles Dister was born 1614 in Glemsford, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom to John Dister (c1580-1657) and Bridget Charles (c1585-1670) and died 1692 Belchamp Otten, Essex, England, United Kingdom of unspecified causes. He married Anne Raymond (c1615-1692) 1645 in Essex, England, United Kingdom.

Charles wife Ann's maiden name was Raymond. The Dister and Raymond family were well connected as Charles' son was apprenticed to St Clere Raymond, and Charles' father bought land off Oliver Raymond. Also Anne Raymond was due to marry George Scott in 1640 but he was lost at sea and died. George did say he would pay Anne some money if the marriage was not completed. This happened to be the case. His will proved in 1642 and Frederick Scott became executor. In 1647 and 1649, Charles and Anne Dister sued Frederick Scott, brother of George over his estate and a marriage contract. Fred was made admin of George's will as the original executor William Ballow died before George did. Anne wed Charles Dister in about 1645.
