Biography
Charles Edward Eldridge was born 16 March 1883 in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia to Charles Edmund Eldridge (1855-1926) and Jane E Rutledge (1862-1913) and died 25 September 1915 Gallipoli campaign of wounds.
He embarked from Newcastle, New South Wales, on board HMAT A58 Kabinga on 21 May 1915, as a private with the 7th Light Horse Regiment, 5th Reinforcement and served in Egypt and Gallipoli before dying of wounds in a hospital ship.
