Charles Edward Stuart was born 31 December 1720 in Rome, Italy to James Francis Edward Stuart (1688-1766) and Maria Clementina Sobieska (1702-1735) and died 31 January 1788 Rome, Italy of unspecified causes. He married Luise zu Stolberg-Gedern (1752-1824) 17 April 1772 in Macerata. He married Margarette O'Dea d'Audibert de Lussan (1749-1820) December 1785 . Charles Edward Stuart ("Bonnie Prince Charlie" or "The Young Pretender") was a grandson of James II of England (1633-1701) and son of James Francis Edward Stuart (1688-1766), "The Old Pretender". He tried unsuccessfully in 1745 to overthrow the British monarchy and claim it for himself.
