Charles Stanley, 8th Earl of Derby, was born 19 January 1628 to James Stanley, 7th Earl of Derby (1607-1651) and Charlotte de La Trémoille (1599-1664) and died 21 December 1672 of dropsy. He married Dorothea Helena van den Kerchhoven (-1673) 1650 .
