Charlotte Gwynne was born 1865 to Edward Castres Gwynne (1811-1888) and Marian Borrow (1828-1896) and died 22 January 1912 North Adelaide Private Hospital, North Adelaide, South Australia, Australia of unspecified causes. She married Frank Stuart Leworthy Anstey (1869-1911) 30 April 1903 in St. John's Church, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.

Miss Gwynne, daughter of the late Judge Gwynne, of Adelaide, is shortly to be married to Mr. Frank Anstey, member of a well-known Adelaide family, and a partner in a shipping firm. Miss Gwynne is one of the smartest dressers in Adelaide, and a brilliant conversationalist. A Frenchman who knew Miss Gwynne well once said she is fit to lead a Salon such as flourished in France fifty years ago. Miss Gwynne is the posssessor of a fine collection of jewels, set and unset, inherited from her mother, who gathered the gems when travelling in India with her husband. Miss Gwynne has lately been staying in Melbourne with her sister, Mrs. Albert Tribe, at "Banyena," Toorak.
