She married Anthony Bacon (1796-1864) 4 March 1823 in Paris, France.

She stayed with relatives in South Australia between 1869 and 1874, and Charlotte Waters, Northern Territory was named in her honour by R. R. Knuckey and G. R. McMinn in 1871.
