Colin Lindsay Elvins was born 18 December 1909 in Bigga, New South Wales, Australia to Samuel Elvins (1869-1950) and Amelia Howard (1874-1942) and died 1 February 1946 Crookwell District Hospital, Crookwell, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes.
The death occurred on 1st February of Colin Lindsay, son of Mr. Samuel and the late Mrs. Elvins, of Blanket Flat.
The deceased, who had been in indifferent health for many years, was discharged from the Army as medically unfit. After discharge he was employed by Mr. Hilton Joliffe, of Bigga, until failing health forced him to relinquish outdoor work. He then carried on the duties as postmaster at Blanket Flat.
When his health did not improve, he was admitted to the Crookwell District Hospital, where he passed away at the age of 36 years, after an illness of several weeks.

The remains were laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the Bigga Cemetery. The Rev. Whiting officiated at the graveside.
