Lăpugiu de Jos is a commune in Hunedoara County, Romania. It includes ten villages: Lăpugiu de Jos (seat of the commune), Cosești, Fintoag, Grind, Holdea, Lăpugiu de Sus, Lăsău, Ohaba and Teiu. The commune also includes the former settlement of Baștea which has no more inhabitants since 1999.
