Constantin Petala was born 28 April 1865 to NN Petala and died circa 1950 of unspecified causes. He married Maria Bagdat (1867-1957) .
Constantin Petala attended the Military School of Infantry and Cavalry in 1883 - 1885 and, thereafter, the Carol I National Defence University (called, at that time, the Higher War School). He was promoted under-lieutenant in 1885, lieutenant in 1889, captain in 1895, major in 1905, lieutenant-colonel in 1911, colonel in 1913 and Brigade general in 1916
He commanded military units during the Second Balkan War and World War I.
