Numerous stones are missing in the cemetery.Stones flattened to ground by owner of property who planned to sell it for building lots.He was restrained by town action.VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS THEN BOUGHT THE CEMETERY AND DEDICATED IT AS A GREEN CO. HISTORIC SHRINE FOR MEMORIAL SERVICES.
