Daniel Kimball was born 4 October 1763 in Warner, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, United States to Reuben Kimball (1738-1811) and Hannah Annis (1740-1823) and died 9 July 1843 Canaan, Grafton County, New Hampshire, United States of unspecified causes. He married Mary Stevens (1768-1838) 1784 in New Hampshire.
Daniel Kimball is said to have been the first white child born in Warner, NH. At the age of 18 he left his home for a section where land was cheap, and selected a lot on sawyer's hill in Canaan, NH., two miles northwest of Canaan St. His house was of logs, and afterwards he built a frame house. There he lived, and his descendants still live there after more then a hundred years have passed. He was a solider of the revolution, and enlisted in 1782 for 3 years, in Capt. David Livermore's Co., Col. Henry Dearborn's Regiment. He was a farmer. He is buried in the old cemetery on Sawyer's hill, and a marble slab marks his grave.
