David Hurlbut II was born 1 November 1716 in Middletown, Hartford County, Connecticut to David Hurlbut (1688-1773) and Mary Savage (1690-1728) and died October 1807 Haddam, Middlesex County, Connecticut of unspecified causes. He married Ruth Belden (1712-1782) 6 April 1736 in Middletown, Hartford County, Connecticut.

Biography

David Hurlbut II was a farmer and first settled in Portland parish, town on Chatham, Massachusetts, May 28, 1737, and he was given 11 acres in the long Lots by his father. He later acquired other pieces of land. in 1756 he sold the greater part of his land to his brother Stephen and others and removed to the town of Haddam, Connecticut. His wife Ruth joined the Middle Haddam Church December 7, 1746, and he joined January 30, 1763. He remarried on March 30, 1791 to Susannah Fuller. He died in Haddam in October 1807.
