From Find A Grave: "... Mr. Alston was a member of the Allegheny county bar. He was graduated from Ann Arbor in 1884, and followed his profession until his death. Four brothers, Joseph W., of Marquette, Mich.; S.T. Archibald Jr., and Robert W.; a half-brother, John McHenry, of Philadelphia; one sister, Mrs. B.N. McBride, of Erie, and one daughter, Miss Ellen Swan Alston, survive - Pittsburgh Press March 2, 1916" - he was almost certainly 54, not 55; the naming of the daughter is probably wrong (as that was his long-dead wife's name and his daughter died even earlier); his sister Cynthia married David Nye McBrier (1856-1945), not B.N. McBride; his half-brother's middle name is "McHendry" elsewhere.
