He married Cornelia Koornblom (-1808) 31 January 1806 in Pijnacker, South Holland, Netherlands. He married Johanna Peters (c1787-1831) 9 February 1820 in Pijnacker, South Holland, Netherlands.
It is thought that Dirk was the father of Pieternelletje Bergman (1810-1860) who was born in Delft as the illegitimate daughter of Cornelia Bergman. Dirk was 28 and living in the area at the time.
