Eber Howe was born 1 December 1795 in Marlborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts to Sylvanus Howe (1765-1815) and Sarah Gleason (1764-1825) and died 8 March 1872 Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts of unspecified causes. He married Louisa Bigelow (1806-1862) 16 September 1824 in Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

Biography

Eber Howe was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts on I Dec. 1795; married 16 Sept. 1824, Louisa Bigelow, daughter of Gershom and Mary (Howe) Bigelow, born in Marlborough, 9 Sept. 1806, died 18 Jan. 1862.

On the death of. his father in 1815, it seemed to fall upon him to take the farm, and care for his mother and the minor children. This he did, by working the farm, and in addition he carried on a wheelwright business, in which he gained an excellent reputation. He was a very successful farmer, and accumulated a moderate amount of wealth. He was a member of the Board of Selectmen, 1846 to 1852, and was one of the Overseers of the Poor for many years, and was a highly respected citizen of the town. He died 2 March 1872.
