Edmund Cheney was born 29 June 1696 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States to John Cheney (1666-1750) and Mary Chute (1674-1750) and died 14 March 1761 Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts, United States of Consumptive Disorder. He married Mary Plummer (1694-1748) 18 November 1714 in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States.

Biography

Edmund Cheney, son of John Cheney (1666-1750) and Mary Chute (1674-1750), was born in Newbury MA on 29 Jun 1696 and died 14 Mar 1761 "of a Consumptive Disorder".

He was a miller and fuller by trade and spent his early life in Newbury, where he had a house and land from his father. In 1723, he sold them and removed to the Squadron River in Weston. Here he bought a place of Josiah Brewster, 04 Dec 1723 and carred on his trades. About 1730 he returned to his oldhome, where he died.

Family Life

Edmund Cheney and family were members of the Byfield Parish Church where their children were baptized.

First Marriage

He married first to Mary Plummer of Rowley.

Second Marriage

He married second to Ann Poor, (circa 1749) who survived him.
