Edna Lewis was the daughter of Benjamin Marion Lewis (1841-1926) (Mormon Bishop and leader) and Eliza Ann Jenks. She was the second daughter of the second wife and was born on the Mormon “underground” which was created after the polygamy laws were enacted. She married James William McGhee (1882-1968) son of a Church of Christ minister. They were married on June 21st, 1915 in Santa Barbara, California. They lived in Los Angeles, California from 1917 to 1969.
