Mr. Fletcher, coroner, held an inquest, yesterday on the body of Edward J. O'Hara, 64 years of age, lately residing at Wigram-road, Forest Lodge. According to the evidence, deceased's wife early on the morning of the 11th instant went to the front door, leaving the deceased in the bedroom. Shortly afterwards two men called and told her that they had heard a noise, and as they turned the corner of the street they saw the deceased lying in an unconscious condition on the footpath. O'Hara, it appears, suffered from lung trouble, and had opened the bedroom window for the purpose of obtaining air. While leaning out he overbalanced, and fell about 16ft, and never regained consciousness. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
